Comments:

I attended Peace College and had the honor of serving on the Board of Visitors for four years. Several years later, I was asked to serve as a Trustee. I did so for 12 years and was Chairman of the Board for 5 years. Recently, I was asked to be an Honorary Trustee. I married Tom Worth, Jr. in 1967 and am happy to say we will celebrate our 44th year in August of this year. Tom was two years ahead of us at Broughton. We had three great children. Tom is an attorney in Raleigh and has been practicing since 1969. I was fortunate enough to be able to stay home with our children. I have been volunteering in our Community since I was 20 years old. I have been fortunate enough to have served on many Boards and Chairman of some. My focus has been education, healthcare and many non profit Boards. This has helped me to grow throughout the years. Tom has always supported me with my volunteer efforts. All of our children have volunteered in their communities.

School Story:

I like many of you have great memories of our three years at Broughton. I remember the football and basketball games, the pep rallies, the day we got off for the State Fair, dances at churches, slumber parties, many teachers, Queen of Hearts Assemblies, the Hi Times, the Latipac, the political rallies, Homecoming but most of all our special classmates and friends. Then, we graduated and spread out everywhere. I do hope many of you will come back to our 50th Reunion. We will have a great time.

I have many great memories of Lloyd at Broughton.  He was always so kind.  He certainly did make a name for himself.  We will all miss him and are sad he will no longer be with us.
