Judith Karangelen Brooks “Judy”, 72, of Merry Point, Virginia, passed away February 17, 2015. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, William Barr Brooks from Richmond, Va.
Judy was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, mother, and grandmother, and will be missed by many friends, neighbors, and loved ones.
A private family burial service for Judy will be held in Raleigh, North Carolina on Friday, February 20, 2015.

Even thougth I have not seen Judy in many years, I will certainly miss her. Not only were we Broughton students together, we also were in the same Sunday School classes from the time we were very young children. I also remember spending nights together--even trick-or-treating together several years on Halloween--as children and teens. Judy was a treasured friend. I wish her family wonderful memories of my friend Judy.

It was nice to read Linda's comments. Judy, Linda, and many more of our classmates grew up together and were church mates at Edenton Street as well as school. Judy lived in the general neighborhood of Northside where many of our classmates lived as well. She was lovely, kind, intelligent ... Our numbers continue to dwindle but each brings memories to mind.

Judy was always such a friend to everyone.
We had several classes together through the years, and it seems she always was there to help out her classmates on assignments or to keep some of us out of trouble.(Belive it or not)
As our numbers are beginning to dwindle, as Herb Cobb said, I look forward to seeing all of you this fall.
Judy was a testement to the good yeras we had at Broughton.
