I remember playing Red Rover with Loretta in the 2nd grade at Fred Olds. May the Muses be with you!

Loretta had quite a flair. I remember when her hair was purple one day and bright green the next. It was good seeing her at the reunion.

Loretta was the first girl I ever kissed romantically.  We were still at Fred Olds, in the sixth grade.  It was quite a session, in her living room with nobody else at home.  I liked it!  She did too!

Sounds pretty wild but it wasn't. We were soooo innnocent in those days.  There was absolutely nothing but osculation.  Years later we talked about it and agreed that it was a top-tier event in each of our lives, one which we both remembered and treasured.

RIP Loretta, you were a lovely person.

I remember Loretta as a friend from Fred Olds grammer school thru Saint Mary's Jr. College and she was fun, dare devilish and outspoken always. I never realized how creative she was until our beach "re-union" several years ago. She brought the clay and we designed our own wine bottle cork stopper top. Hers was a "creature" with big ears as I re-call. Mine was the head of a dog (Boston Terrier) which she took home and had fired in her kiln. She sent it to me and I use it often. I also never realized how brave Loretta was until that trip. She pulled her oxygen wagon behind her and her only request was to be near an electrical outlet. She will be sorely missed.

Very sorry to hear this news.  Loretta was so full of fun, even with her health problems.  I am glad I had a chance to spend time with her at our 50th reunion.  RIP.

Loretta was one of my earliest friends on Mayview Road.  William Seeger, Sonny Smith, Lucy Smith, Jimmy Ballanger, and a few others, played, sledded, and walked to school together.  Loretta told me there was no Santa after she found her "twin baby-dolls" before Christmas. In third grade I moved from Mayview Road to Lake Drive - left Fred Olds and finished elementary school at Myrtle Underwood.  We ventured in different circles but always enjoyed getting back together to chat.  I really enjoyed visiting with her at the 50th reunion.  My husband, Larry Lovvorn, was in Loretta's class and I was in the class of '62.  I hope Loretta will Rest in Peace. My condolences go to her son and the rest of her family.  Linda Goodwin Lovvorn

I went to Sherwood Bales so I met Loretta at Daniels.  In the 9th grade, she had two male friends at her Church and wanted me to double date with her.  They were at Broughton and my mother had to meet them before I could go out.  Loretta and I were asked to go to their Sweetheart Dance at Broughton - so we went! We did not date during the summer, and the boy I dated was back with his old girlfriend at Broughton when we went to the 10th grade.  Loretta was a great friend, and we had lots of fun.  It was so good to see her at the 50th Class Reunion. Rest in Peace, Loretta.
