Brenda Brown Hagwood, 67, of Raleigh, NC, passed from this world to the next, on January 5, 2011.
She was born in Wilmington, NC, on September 25, 1943, the daughter of the late Thomas Doyle Brown and Naurice Marie Bishop Brown. Also remembered is her first cousin and soul mate, Carole Merritt Morgan, who preceded her in death two weeks ago on Christmas Day.
Brenda lived in Raleigh where she made her career as a mortgage banker finishing with Barclay’s International.
Surviving is her son, Allen Hagwood, Jr. and wife, Elaine, and two granddaughters, Alexandria “Allie” Hagwood and Brooke Hagwood.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, on Monday, January 10, 2011, at Andrews Mortuary, Market Street Chapel, by Pastor Doug Humphries. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11 AM, prior to the service at Andrews Market Chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Wake County.
