Janie Powell Clinton, 72, of Raleigh, NC passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015. She was born April 18, 1943 in Wake County, NC to John and Susie Powell. 

Janie worked for the DMV for many years. She loved garage sales and antiques. Her favorite time of year was Christmas. Janie will always be remembered as a fun person who had an uplifting and infectious personality. 

She is survived by son, Bailey Sears Clinton, II and his wife, Gina, and their children, Miles and Brice; brother, Jimmy Powell; niece, Amy Brown and husband, Jason, and their children, Ashlee, Gracie, Caroline, and Hannah.

In addition to her parents, Janie was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of over 40 years, Bailey Sears Clinton, "They shared a one of a kind love for each other".

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at Bay Leaf Baptist Church, 12200 Bay Leaf Church Rd. Burial will follow at Bay Leaf Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.
