Bernice Edgar King, 68, Clarksville, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held at 11AM Thursday, Jan 6, 2011 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Caddrew Strickland officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, with Full Military Honors. Visitation will be from 6 PM until 8 PM Wednesday and from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born in Raleigh, NC. the son of Bernice Elmo King and Fannie Mae Boone King.
He was a methodist and retired E-6 from the US Army having served in Vietnam and Desert Storm. He also worked at Florim U.S.A. and at the Gun Shop Ft.Campbell Post Exchange. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother William McNally, and a sister Josephine McNally Frank.
He is survived by his wife Sally Shankle King of Clarksville, two daugthers Jennifer L. King of Clarksville,and Elizabeth King Hosch (Mike) of Newport News, VA.;
a sister Margaret King Mills of Raleigh, NC.; two grandchildren Leah King and Kami King both of Clarksville and several nieces and nephews.
Military will serve as pallbearers.
