Morris Earl Knight, 79, of Gibsonville passed away at the Brian Center in Yanceyville, NC on Monday, January 23, 2023 following several months declining health.

A native of Raleigh, he was the husband of 60 years to Anna Gibbons Knight, who survives and the son of James Russell Knight, Sr. and Edna Earl Morris Knight, both deceased. He retired from Pfizer as Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast. Mr. Knight was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elon. Before moving to North Carolina, he initiated the Recycle Program and enjoyed helping with the Community Garden and cleaning of the church at Providence United Methodist Church in Richmond, VA.

In addition to his wife of their home, survivors include a son, Charles Russell Knight and wife Catherine of Elon; grandchildren, Caroline Knight and fiancé Corey Wilkins of Erwin and Cameron Knight and fianceé Raeanne Dixon of Snow Hill; one great grandchild, Nolan Wilkins; brother, Stephen Andrew Knight and wife Wanda of Winston, GA; two nieces, Tonya Tompkins and Christy Knight; and his sweet poodle, Miss Charlee. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Russell Knight, Jr.

A memorial service will be conducted at the First United Methodist Church of Elon on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. by Rev. Kellie Gallagher. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
